Bio:
Since Pete ditched his rock 'n roll electric guitar for a
dobro nearly a decade ago, he's become a familiar and respected sidekick
and session player for an abundance of bands, instrumentalists and
singer/songwriters. Pete specialises in Bluegrass music, currently
holding down the dobro/mandolin chair in Bluestone Junction, and has
toured the USA twice with singer Bill Jackson, as well as appearing at
major festivals with fingerstyle guitar picker Nick Charles. In 2008
Pete released his debut CD, "Slide Night", a collection of
original dobro tunes and songs featuring some of Australia's best
Bluegrass musicians.
Peter has been involved in playing music since 1980. He plays all kinds
of Jazz, Western Swing,Old Timey, Rockabilly, Country, Big Band Swing,
Rhythm and Blues, Bluegrass, alt pop as well as ethnic folk stuff from
Gypsy Swing, Italian Love Songs to Choro Music. He is involved in bands
such as Western Swing Band, The Dancehall Racketeers, Cajun music with 
Essentially a
Spanish classical guitarist ,Matthew has deeply explored the techniques of
Spanish Classical ,Flamenco, Gypsy Jazz, Celtic, American roots andmodern
finger-style. Matthew is also a leading instructor with two degrees
swinging jazz, country music, blues and island sounds creep effortlessly
and tastefully into both his acoustic and electric guitar work. Over the
years Sam has performed with Linda and Vika Bull, Ross Wilson, Tom
Burlinson, US Bluegrass Banjo legend Bill Keith and can often be spotted
on a Melbourne stage with Andy Baylor, Tanya Lee, Lisa Miller, Leslie
Avril, Michelle Nicole, Hetty Kate, The Moovin' & Groovin' Orchestra,
the Bsharp Big Band - to name a few. When not polishing his Ukulele,
chances are that Sam will be in a recording studio somewhere adding to his
list of over 70 CD appearances.
